FDE — embedded senior engineers who ship

Forward Deployed
Engineering.

Senior engineers embedded in your team to ship production agents. Memory and retrieval layers, multi-agent runtimes, eval harnesses, CLI tooling. We write code beside your people and leave them able to run it.

How FDE works

FDE is the delivery half of the LABs21 practice. After a consultancy phase scopes the path, senior engineers embed inside your team to build it in production. We do not hand code over a wall: we write it beside your engineers, document as we go, and leave your team able to run and extend the system.

What we ship

  • Memory and retrieval layers that survive long-running execution and let agents recall what matters.
  • Multi-agent runtimes with shared state, execution boundaries, and telemetry.
  • Eval harnesses that measure the metric you are moving, before and after each change.
  • CLI tooling that keeps agent work scriptable, reviewable, and reproducible.
  • Training handoff so your engineers own and extend the system when we leave.

Engagement shape

4 to 12 weeks, embedded. We start from the consultancy output (architecture, first use case, eval plan) and ship against it. Your team owns the system at the end.
